Apalachicola River is located in Torreya State Park. During summer, you can enjoy largemouth bass while in the early spring you will find the bass in the main channel. Spring is also a great time for catching bluegill. May and June is the best time to find your fill of catfish in the river channel. April is the month for flathead catfish. Sunshine bass abound in Spring and Autumn. March is the moth for white bass while stripped bass is found any time in the Spring.

The Everglades Water Conservation Areas 2 & 3 is a marsh like area found southeast of Okeechobee. Largemouth bass are the main catch in this area.

Farm 13/Stick Marsh Reservoir has become one of the most popular fresh water fishing areas in Florida. You can enjoy fishing for golden shiners, crappie, bluegill, and shellcracker.
